4th SWA Voluntary Service Project
In return, the team got an experience of their life time, living with the villagers, immersing into their culture and learning their way of life while co-existing with their amazing natural heritage and environment.
As a result of this partnership, the project is set to return – Project Orion II. Once again, a team will make their way to Terengganu this June, and assist WWF in their hatchery and conservation work. At the same time, they will help the villages in refurbishing some of their houses.
This project will provide opportunities to Ventures and Rovers to increase their self and global awareness based on the Scout Method and Service-Learning Methodology.
Project details are as follows:
Duration: 26th June – 10th July 2010 (Tentative)
Location: Setiu, Terengganu, Malaysia
Eligible Participants: Ventures & Rovers who have previously completed the Scouts of the World Discovery Workshop or will be attending the upcoming workshop from 30 April to 2 May 2010.
Due to the nature of the project, there are limited vacancies. As the planning of the project is still in the progress, for more information and interested participants, please drop me a message on facebook and I’ll gladly respond to your queries. Thanks!
